Texas Freedom Network Endorses Traci Jensen for SBOE

HOUSTON –Traci Jensen, candidate for State Board of Education (SBOE), District 6, was endorsed yesterday by the Texas Freedom Network (TFN).  In a letter to Jensen informing her of their endorsement, TFN said “thank you again for your support for religious freedom, civil liberties and strong public schools.”

In a letter to TFN members and supporters, TFN said:

“We hope our endorsements not only help you to make informed decisions at the ballot box, but also inspire you to help the campaigns of those candidates for office who truly support the ideals we all share: a commitment to religious freedom, individual liberties and strong public schools.”

“I am grateful to receive the support of the Texas Freedom Network,” said Jensen.  “For the past seventeen years, TFN has led the effort to take on a politically-motivated SBOE who continue to abuse their power. The language arts, science and social studies curricula are examples of the board’s dismissal of educators and experts’ judgments in order to propel their own right wing ideology” added Jensen.

“TFN’s endorsement is highly valued in that it expands our growing campaign as we work to bring respectability to Texas education, end divisive rhetoric and put ALL Texas school children ahead of politics and ideology,” continued Jensen.
