Down To The Wire, Brownie, Delay

The Astros lead the Phillies in the Wild Card race by 2 1/2 games with five games to go - Phillies have four games left. One game tonight in St. Louis, then four at Minute Maid with the Cubs and their fans. Looking forward to a weekend of pennant fever and scoreboard watching.

Have you checked out the National League West Division race? The San Diego Padres lead and they have a losing record - 78 Ws, 79Ls. Major League Baseball ought to have a rule that says teams with losing records can't go to the playoffs.

Caught some of Brownie's act on the tube yesterday - can't decide whether or not it was a good idea for Dems to boycott the hearings. Dems might have been able to land some serious blows to W and his disaster advisors. Don't know if they'll get another shot at Brownie.

Is it "curtains" for DeLay? That's what folks up in Austin think. Today may be the day for Delay to pray.
