Embrace, Por Favor

Commentary predicted a few weeks ago that the Harris County GOP County Judge primary race would be about paperless folk bashing. In today’s Chron, there is a piece by one of their columnists on the GOP race. I am proven correct – what else is new. Rather than Dems just sitting around and watching the GOP candidates bang on potential Dem Latino voters, why not launch a major campaign to embrace the local Latino community con un gran abrazo. That way, all the folks that are jockeying for those local judgeships will actually have a chance at winning. Now that’s a great idea!

The H-Town City Council filing deadline was yesterday and James Rodriguez, candidate for District I has two foes. In today’s Chron, the District I race was called H-Town’s “hottest.” I told you.

I wonder if Vegas has a betting play on who has a better chance of succeeding – the Law and Order fella or the Chair of the Men’s Public Restroom Caucus.

The ‘Stros got clobbered last night – it was ugly. Hey, we signed a kid from Italy – Italy? Andrea Lucati from Ponzano Veneto, Italy. He’s a right handed pitcher. I wonder how you say caballo in Italian. I wonder how you say Numero 45? I wonder how you say lights out. I wonder how you say wait ‘til next year.
