Undecided My Arse!

At this point in the game on the last day of Early Voting, who in the heck in the whole U.S of A. can be undecided in Obama versus McCain? Undecided about what? Who in the heck is thinking today – I can’t decide between Obama and McCain? You can’t decide what? I think it is more like – “I don’t want to tell you who I’m for.”

Fox, Reuters, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, LA Times, USA Today, AP, and Newsweek all put out polls on the race for Prez. Have you ever asked yourself why? Why do we need to know? Do you consider this a public service?

The most interesting news from last night's Houston Association of Black Journalists event was the discussion of sex, lies and videotapes involving a high profile local candidate in this year’s election – yikes!

Through yesterday, 591, 027 folks in Harris County had Voted Early in person as compared to 412,128 in 2004 – total – a 43% increase. The local GOP is hoping, errr, praying that all of the local Dems will be through voting by 7 pm today so they will be able to catch up next Tuesday.

Joe The Plumber has hired a PR firm. I don’t know about you, but Commentary thinks this fella’s fifteen minutes are up. He reminds me of that “American Idol” fella that botched up “She Bangs” and went on to have his fifteen minutes.

Cin is heading to Ohio to put in a few days for Obama. Way to go!

Last movie quote: Obama as he ends his nightly prayers – “Made it, Ma! Top of the world!” from “White Heat.”

Commentary’s friend, My Fellow Consultant who handles the mail for Commentary, turns 33 years young on Sunday. For all you believers, that’s Dia De Los Muertos, errr Day of the Dead – yikes! I wonder if he’s going to have a bunch of little skeleton dudes on his BD cake. Happy Birthday on Sunday Neftali Partida!

Since this is the last weekend before Election Day, Commentary will roll out weekend specials at no cost to you tomorrow and Sunday.

Sometimes national sports columnists start believing their own BS. Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal is one of those. Today he writes that MLB ought to consider moving the World Serious to a weather friendly neutral site like the Super Bowl. He must have run out of material to chase.

Nothing to report from The Yard other than to say the GMs will be meeting on Monday. I wonder if ‘Stros GM Ed Wade is going to make a move for us – stay tuned!
