Turning It Out

In Harris County, there will be about a 25% increase (up from 2004) in the number of mail ballot requests. Does this mean that more people will be turning out or are folks just voting earlier? It is probably a combination of both. Stay tuned!

The worst and sorriest ad of this year’s political season has to go to Culberson who says we “must work together.” This is from the most partisan rat in these parts. He’s probably figured out that folks in his CD are tired of his act, errr arse.

I think the markets would be better off if W just got lost for a while – his mug doesn’t inspire confidence. He needs to go to the ranch, Camp David, Cabo – somewhere. If he can’t explain what’s going on, how can he help solve.

The Chron’s E-Board is starting to roll out their endorsements. It’ll be interesting to see what they do on the high profile races.

Commentary has a punishment for the AIG execs – stick them in an “I Love Obama” T-shirt and throw them into a McCain/Palin rally. It would be like throwing a piece of red meat into a pack of starving pit bulls.

I don’t know about ACORN registering (allegedly) to vote members of the Dallas Cowboys in Nevada. I noticed they didn’t register any Houston Texans. Why bother. The Texans haven’t turned out or shown up for any thing yet this season.

Of course ACORN maybe should have called Commentary and I could have told them how I got Dante, Lucas and J. Dominic to vote early, vote often, vote by mail, and do the two-step without any hassles or more importantly – WITHOUT DETECTION!

Commentary was watching when McCain mentioned “that one”. I just thought that he mangled his response. Just like I don’t think “erratic” is code for “I think it is time to take the car keys away from Grandpa”.

Nothing to report from The Yard other than to say that Brad Lidge looked pretty good last night.
