Does It Matter, Austin Visit, The Juice

There is a lot of coverage in today's newspapers about Harriet Miers. The Chron has an interesting box called "Miers' demographics" about a 60-year old woman who has never been married. According to the Chron, she is one of 796,000 US women between the ages of 55 to 64 who have never married. Does it matter? The Chron does say that US Supreme David Souter has also never been married. When Souter was appointed, did the Chron run a box on "Souter demographics?" Probably not.

Speaking of women, to all those hundreds and hundreds of Laura Salinas fans in Austin, if you want to meet the real deal, the only candidate that actually lives in District 143, you can check her out at a reception, tomorrow, Wednesday (10/5) at the Stephen F. Austin Hotel, 5 to 7 pm. Visited at length yesterday with a grass roots buddy that supports Laura's opponent - says that Laura is connecting with voters in the district.

Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of O.J.'s not guilty verdict. Word has it The Juice celebrated over a quiet dinner with Robert "Beretta" Blake - on the menu - fava beans and a nice bottle of Chianti - awwwww!
