A Wink And A Nod From The Right

Iíve watched a bunch of Prez and VP debates in my lifetime and this was the first time Iíve ever gotten a wink job. Hey, I actually caught myself winking back!

Governor Palin had a good night Ė I guess. I donít agree with most of what she said but she didnít implode and that was their goal. She is certainly learning the ways of national political figures that participate in debates which is avoiding or not answering questions posed by the moderators. She uttered ďmaverickĒ so many times that I fully expected James Garner to be the first to go on stage and congratulate her after the debate. You have to give credit to the folks that got her in shape for last nightís performance.

Joe Biden was exceptional. That was the best Iíd ever seen of Biden.

I wonder if Congress can get a favorable rating in the negatives. I wonder if they can go below a zero percent favorable rating. A $700 bil rescue plan is bad enough, but adding on $150 bil for folks like rum producers, NASCAR, and baby arrow makers Ė now I get why Congress gets lower marks than W Ė tsk, tsk, tsk!

Speaking of going into the tank, Budís Brewers and the Cubbies are 0 and 2 and Commentary finally got cable yesterday!
