Ugly, Ugly
By Marc Campos

One of the most despicable scenes you will ever see in sports. Last Friday evening, pro basketball players Ron Artest, Stephen Jackson, and Jermaine O'Neal climbed up the bleachers and wildly threw punches at fans. The three Indiana Pacers teammates were assessed suspensions ranging from 30 games for Jackson to rest of the season for Artest. Quite frankly, these guys ought to be banned from the NBA for life.

In fact, all professional sports should adopt a rule that says if a player ever goes into the stands and attacks a fan, the player receives a lifetime suspension - no exceptions. Friday night's incident will impact all of us that attend professional sporting events. Beer sales will cease after the first half. In baseball, after the fifth inning. To make up for this, the teams will charge more for a beer - probably $10. Way to go Pacers.
