Concert Tip, Laura And Opponent, Steve's Debut, They're Here, No Cell Phones

For those that are going to see Sir Paul in H-Town or Dallas this weekend, get on the net and find a newspaper review of one of his stops a few weeks or days ago. You'll find a list of the tunes he'll play - in order - and the number of encores - 2. The show starts with "Magical Mystery Tour" and ends with, you got it - "The End." At dinner, tomorrow night after the concert, gonna ask how many times he's been alone.

No thanks "Today Show." On the eve of Sir Paul, the "Today Show" runs a chilling voice only taped interview of Mark David Chapman - the sicko that murdered John Lennon.

Yesterday, Laura Salinas and her opponent taped a segment for Fox 26's "Hola Houston." I was told by a biased observer that Laura scored more points. The show airs tomorrow, Saturday morning at 6:30 am. Get up early or set your VCRs and judge for yourself.

Steve Brown, Dem candidate for State Rep., Dist. 27, kicked off his campaign last night at a reception in Missouri City. Commentary is going to help out Steve. Impressive crowd of supporters last night. Houston City Council Member Ron Green was there and gave a terrific speech. FYI: District 27 is in Fort Bend County.

According to news reports, in a few days the City of Houston will be rolling out the red light cameras. That's a good thing. Let's hope they nail those folks that are flagrant violators.

At the local post office sub-station they have a sign on the door that says "no cell phones." I don't have a problem with that, but I can't figure it out. I mean standing in a post office line is always a test. I've never seen a fast moving post office line. It would seem though, that in order to deal with your patience, they'd let you yak away. Still can't figure it out.
