Rocky Mountain High, Chronically Wrong, The Flu, $49,866.94

Yesterday, voters in Denver, Colorado voted to allow folks 21 years plus to possess an ounce or less of weed. The initiative was led by SAFER (Safer Alternative For Enjoyable Recreation) - they think weed is a better alternative to booze. Commentary was thinking about going to check out the 'Stros play in Coors Canaveral next season - they'll probably be charging 7 buckos for a joint.

In today's Chron, former Texas AG John Hill is again referred to as a Dem. According to the Chron, Hill testified on behalf The Hammer at the hearing yesterday on removing Judge Perkins. In 2000, Hill campaigned for W. A couple of weeks ago, Hill lobbied on behalf of W's Harriett. Now he's helping out The Hammer. Maybe it's time we go down to the courthouse and check out voter history.

This flu thing hit home yesterday. Laura Salinas, the only candidate that actually lives in District 143, was floored by the flu yesterday. Commentary sent over caldo de pollo and gallons of orange juice - didn't help. She had to miss a community event last night.

The new Joe Moreno Elementary School will be dedicated this Friday. A lot of Joe's House colleagues will be in town for the dedication. The other side has asked some of the colleagues to stay the weekend and campaign for Laura's opponent. It says a lot about Laura's candidacy when the other side has to call in guns from across the state to help their candidate.

The C&Es were turned in a couple of days ago, Laura's got $49,866.94 in the bank.
