Expected Party Crashers

As expected by Commentary, leaders of the Texas House of Representatives' Democratic Caucus endorsed one of Laura Salinas' opponents in the soon-to-be-called State House District 143 special election. Dudes and dudettes endorsed the candidate that as of today, is not qualified to vote in District 143, and has never cast a vote in District 143 - but they probably knew that.

'Splain it to me. They crow about needed campaign finance reform and restoring the integrity of elections, but they endorse a candidate who couldn't vote if the special election were held today. They are doing the Democratic Party a disservice by running roughshod over electoral integrity in a working class House district in Harris County, while at the same time trying to pass themselves off as the saviors of campaign reform in Texas. They can't have it both ways.
