Reading, Writing, Math, Amen

I guess our kids are just breezing through the TAKS or whatever it is called.

Commentary has said it before and Iíll say it again. If you want to learn about the Bible, just go to Sunday school Ė period. Instead of teaching Bible classes in our public schools, why not make a law requiring high school students to go to Sunday school. Way to go Texas State Senate. After the session is over next Monday and I run into The Dean at the yard, I donít want to talk to him about Genesis, I want to talk to him about Berkmanís lousy year to date. If the Texas Legislature really wants to put religion into the minds of our high school students, just pass a law requiring them to check out Cecil B. DeMille flicks.

Ok, maybe they ought to pass a bill requiring the Astros to take Bible classes. They need a little divine intervention nowadays.

Now that the Voter I.D. bill is dead, donít be surprised if the Lege tries to make church going a prerequisite to voting.
