The Mexican War, Credit, Wing it, Barry's Show

Blackjack Pershing couldn't catch Pancho Villa. We can't whip Iraq. We can't catch Bin Laden. Hey, let's go bag us some Mexicans. Guess W's desperate to get a military victory.

"It's crazy," said Laredo mayor Betty Flores.

"Congress is just full of it," added Flores.

"Bad public policy," says Cameron County Judge Gilberto Hinojosa.

That's gonna look real good - G.I Joe going mano-a-mano with a young pregnant woman hoping to get a lower than minimum wage job cleaning homes in 77019. Why join the Mini-men when you can do the same thing with guvment backing. That ought to be good for recruiting.

So far the Dem response has been pretty pathetic. Dems ought to be out there expressing outrage.

Did I miss something? Is Guv Dude off the hook? Folks are high fiving each other up in Austin cause the public schools will be open this year. Look for Guv Dude to go around beating his chest and taking credit. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

"It has been a pleasure, Claudia Jean." It all started on a napkin. Nice send off last night. Turns out Matthew Vicente Santos served on the Houston City Council where he made his mark working on environmental issues. I'll miss "The West Wing."

Barry is in town still on 713. I think he'll break the record and here's why. He'll be facing three starting pitchers with a combined 40 career total starts. That is not a whole lot of experience he'll be up against.

Boos, jeers and homemade signs in bad taste will rule tonight. The yard will definitely be buzzing tonight. Maybe even a sellout.
