Latino Power?

The Census Department said yesterday that in the past year, the U.S. of A. has added 1.45 million Latinos. About 1 out of every 5 new Latinos are here in the Lone Star State. You can probably bet that a lot of that growth is here in the H-Town area. Commentary is thinking that it might be time for major political moves in the local Latino community.

This is from a Commentary reader after what was said yesterday: “You know it is funny, Obama is guy who has no baggage other than Wright and it appears the Dems want to disown him. I hear people say if Hillary is the nominee we know what they are going to throw at her, if Obama is the nominee we don't know what else is lurking out there. The problem with this line of reasoning is that it is shallow. We should be rejoicing that we have a candidate who has so little that people can throw at him.”

Commentary is not going to say anything about Obama and his Preacher. I don’t need to since it is still in the newspapers and on the internet and on the talk shows.

W’s Brain opened up his piehole yesterday and advised John McCain to let voters know more about his life story – like more about the military chapters. Yeah sure, just like back in 2000 when W’s Brain opened up and told us all we needed to know about W’s National Guard service.

The Rocket made the news again today…tsk, tsk, tsk. I think I know why they call him The Rocket.

At the beginning of the season the Chron picked the ‘Stros to go 13-16 after the first month. We’re 13-16. The good news is that we only played 11 of the first 29 at home.
