Weekend Madness

Commentary checked out this weekend’s SA Express News to see if they could tell me what’s happening with Harris County Dem Party politics – nada – zilch! Yesterday I heard a rumor about a possible African American versus Latino match-up in next year’s local Dem Party Primary here in Harris County – interesting. Commentary is convinced that local Dem Party competition is healthy.

Every Latino in town – except Commentary – was at the Go Tejano Day yesterday at the Reliant Rodeo. I was working on Sunday’s crossword puzzle – sorry. Plus, nobody invited me. I guess I’ll have to wait another year to put on my cowboy boots.

Meanwhile, just about every Latino at Go Tejano Day was wearing a James Rodriguez for Houston City Council, District I lapel stick-on. So what else is new?

Let’s see now, there are college basketball games in Buffalo, New York in the West Regional, games in Spokane, Washington in the Midwest, in Sacramento, California in the East, and in Columbus, Ohio in the South Regional. I guess that’s why they call it March Madness.

Commentary has been checking out the Grapefruit League box scores – not much is going on for Richard Hidalgo. By the way, Opening Day is three weeks away and counting.
