Thank You, Hex, Google This

In today's Chron: "A petition drive launched Tuesday seeks a citywide vote on a Houston police policy against asking the immigration status of people officers encounter." A newly formed group called "Protect Our Citizens" is behind the effort that would make Houston Police officers mini-men. If they do get the required 20,000 signatures, then an election would be held in November.

This just might be what ignites the political fire in the Houston Latino community.

I think "Protect Our Citizens" might have bitten off more than they can chew. If they get the 20,000 plus John Hancocks, then folks in town are going to have to choose sides. I don't think a lot of local respectable leaders will go over to the dark side on this one.

I have to be careful on throwing hexes around. Now that the Mavs got their due - thanks to their city refusing to accommodate future evacuees - I have to use my new powers wisely. Like against future Astros' World Series opponents.

I guess google also reads Daily Commentary and they appreciated the props I gave them last week on their W/A__hole project. When I enter in my name and punch "I'm Feeling Lucky" - voila - Daily Commentary!
