Carol Alvarado, Johnny Sack and Hillary

One Of My Best Friends doing business as Carol Alvarado and Johnny Sack are now officially on Hillary’s team. I guess they made them an offer they couldn’t refuse.

“I enthusiastically endorse Hillary Clinton for President of the United States of America,” said Alvarado, Houston City Councilwoman and President of the Texas Municipal League. “Hillary has an outstanding record of supporting and including Latinas in the political process. As a Latina leader, I am proud to lend my support to a great American who will be a forceful advocate for my community.”

Hillary’s campaign gets major league props for The Sopranos take on their website. It has created a lot of buzz. It’s a classic in my book period.

One Of My Best Friends, like Commentary, is a huge fan of The Sopranos, the ‘Stros, and James Rodriguez. She likes to ride bicycles, I don’t.

Speaking of James Rodriguez, candidate for Houston City Council, District I, maybe we ought to have a campaign song and have a contest. Maybe we can have something from The Beatles, Mana, Carole King, Aretha, or Tony Bennett. Stay tuned!

Speaking of classy, the Harris County Commissioners Court recently named Hilary Green as a new Justice of the Peace. Hilary’s other half is Houston City Council Member Ron Green. Hilary and Ron are one of the classiest couples in public service in the H-Town area.

There are a whole lot of people that are smarter than Commentary. Toll roads round here were built to alleviate congestion – they work. I use them sometimes. The toll road gods just doubled the price for using one of the toll roads because too many drivers were using it – huh? Kind of like Yogi once said – “nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded.”

I only stayed up until 12:14 am this morning and this time the nine runs held up. That’s eighteen runs in the last two games – yikes. Speaking of the yard, I was checking out the latest ‘Stros baseball program that they sell for four buckos – hey, there is an article about Scrap Iron in Spanish – cool. I guess it is something for Los Caballitos to read before the game. Of course, it wouldn’t go over in Oak Pointless, Texas. I wonder if the Chron’s Latino sports columnist has checked out pagina 36 of the June program.
