Lone Star Shame, New Busch

Well what to do you know, looks like The Lone Star State is in the TV programming business. Guv Dude is the producer of "Mexican Survivor." Guv Dude is having the state (with our tax dollars) put video cameras along the border with Mexico so we can log on and watch future construction workers, cleaning folks, and kitchen help head north. This is another reason why Guv Dude ought to be retired this November.

This is wacko. Real bad reality TV. I don't know about you, but I don't want my tax dollars spent this way. Dem leaders, business leaders and clergy folk ought to be outraged. We ought to be called "The Lone Star Shame."

One thing I noticed about the St. Louis Cardinal fans, most of the folks there at the yard were of the blue eye persuasion. I only saw a handful of folks of color in the stands. There were plenty of folks of color working the concessions and stuff.

Regarding gear wearing, My Best Friend pointed out that St. Louis has had the same logo and color for close to a century now. In H-Town, our team has sported orange, blue and orange, blue and gold, a rainbow, brick red, and oh, a gun. I guess consistency is a contributing factor.

I like our yard better. Our main concourse has better lighting. In our main concourse, you can be buying a beer and still be able to watch the game, not so in the New Busch main concourse. Our Kiss Kam presentation is also better than their Kiss Kam. They have organ music playing before the game - kind of a throwback. Though it was weird hearing John Lennon's "Imagine" being played by an organist at the yard.
