ABD: A Bad Idea

By Marc Campos

The "Anybody But Dean" campaign is misguided and a disservice to the Democratic Party. Howard Dean is the only candidate for Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) that can claim to be supported by a true grass roots movement. He is the only candidate with a national following. He is the only candidate that can legitimately claim to bring new people into the ranks. So what's the problem? The scream?

This is a case of genuine arrogance on the part of establishment Dem party leaders or so called leaders. They aren't listening to the activists throughout the country that want the Dem party to shake things up. Guys, you are out of excuses. You can't convince us now that you know how to fix things. How can you fix something when you won't acknowledge that you broke it.

Howard Dean just might be what the Democratic Party needs. The Democratic Party certainly does not need more of the same.
