The Gossips Speaks First

George Strong was the first to weigh in with a take on the Obama effect in November. George believes it is a plus for Dems. It looks like we will soon see.

I wonder who Hillary will have standing behind her this evening.

Is it too early to start talking about Obama running mates? I’m betting a Texas Dem will get some veep run. Stay tuned!

Speaking of, it looks like Houston’s Eleventh Political Commandment will be tested pretty soon – you know, “Thou Shalt Not (Bleep) With Bob Lanier!” Mayor Bob is now part of a new political entity called “Houstonians for Responsible Growth” that is made up of home builders and developers. They don’t want the City of H-Town to impose regulations that would limit their ability to do business here. Is this a case of “quien es mas macho?” Creo que si! We don’t need no stinking regulations!

FYI, Houston’s Twelfth Political Commandment is “Thou Shalt Not (Bleep) With the Rodeo.”

There aren’t too many people in Houston that have messed with Mayor Bob and The Rodeo and lived to tell about it.

Luis S. wrote a Chron letter-to-the-editor this past Sunday and mentioned “paperless folks” and he got a lot of reaction – that’s a real good thing.

Rusty Hardin had a press conference yesterday and The Rocket dropped by. That’s all I’m going to say about that.

Meanwhile, I need to get with My Best Friend to see where we will go this summer to see the ‘Stros – D.C., Milwaukee and Cinncy are possibilities.
