Bryant’s Fighting Words, Opinions, Ports

“Try not to laugh when someone says these are the world’s greatest athletes, despite a paucity (errr, means “shortage”) of blacks that makes the Winter Games look like a GOP convention,” by Bryant Gumble, host of HBO’s Real Sports. Gumble said these fighting words last week. Needless to say, he got a lot of reaction – but he’s right. Aside from Shani and a couple of sledders and others, these games lack folks from the African American persuasion. Heck, come to think of it, I never hear any of my Latino buddies say “I’m going to Telluride to ski.” Heck, heck again, we all know that Eskimos rule in frigid climate, how come they aren’t part of the games.

Lately, everybody has one – talking about opinions. Advice – everybody is also dishing it out. Thanks.

Regarding this port deal, looks like even DeLay is bucking W, so you know he’s a little worried about his own GOP primary battle. If you read the various newspaper accounts, the non-government security experts think the deal is a good one and does not threaten our national security, but the politicians and elected officials think we’re handing over our harbors to Bin Laden. Wonder if the issue will be around this fall?
