Chelsea Clinton goes to San Jac Community College this morning out on Spencer Highway in Pasadena , Texas. The last famous person to make it out that way was John Travolta 28 years ago when he was shooting “Urban Cowboy” at Gilley’s. I guess Chelsea will be looking for votes in all the right places. Commentary checked out the Dem Party rules and I can’t find where it says that Super Duper Dem Delegates should vote their “constituencies.” Speaking of, we still have 1191 delegates to pick plus the 366 Michigan and Florida outlaw Dem delegates, I’m having trouble figuring out how anyone gets to 2,025. Well Austin gets the big debate tonight. One thing is for certain. The Obama camp is not going to let State Senator Kirk Watson in the spin room afterwards. Normally, Commentary would feel sorry for someone that looked stupid on the tube, but I can’t in this case. I think arrogance blinded preparation. I don’t think that would have happened to Gonzalo. Regarding tonight’s debate – whoever does a better job of connecting the issues/questions to Lone Star State Dems will win. Since Hillary knows the state better, she has the advantage. We will see. It looks like the NY Times did a drive by on McCain. If you ask Commentary, McCain didn’t do so bad with the hottie lobbyist, errrr allegedly. Texas Super Dem Delegates (revised endorsements):
1. DNC Boyd Richie - TX Chair The Academy Awards are Sunday and Commentary was checking out a book on movies that I got from James Rodriguez and The Lovely Wendy. There is a cool photo of the cast of “Dr. Zhivago.” It is interesting, Julie Christie won the Best Actress Oscar that year but not for Lara in “Dr. Zhivago.” She won for “Darling.” “Dr. Zhivago” won 5 Oscars back in 1965. Julie Christie is up again this year for Best Actress. Welcome to H-Town Shawn Chacon! Let’s see if this pitching move pays off for the ‘Stros! For the first time in my adult life, I’m proud to be a ‘Stros fan!
