Most Impressive, Sand Trapped, Gordon, Moon River

James Rodriguez’ kick off reception for the Houston City Council, District I, was most impressive. A whole lot of folks were there to show support. Stay tuned!

The Gus Wortham Golf course will live to play another around. The soccer for golf idea went nowhere real fast. Houston City Council got an earful yesterday from folks opposed to the idea. It seems like a lot of folks were in on the planning deal except the folks that live near the course. Now everybody seems to be running from this bad idea. Let’s call it the idea from nowhere. Hey, you don’t get political Mulligans for dumb ideas. Hey, nobody asked Commentary!

Former Houston City Council Member Gordon Quan is floating his name out there for Harris County Judge – as a Dem of course. Gordon is a good guy. He also went to Milby High School – like James Rodriguez and Carol Alvarado and don’t forget Laura Salinas who by the way dropped by James’ reception last night.

“I love you” said Paul.

“So what” replied Molly.

“So what? So plenty.” – was Paul’s comeback.

George Peppard and Audrey Hepburn, another great screen couple, this time from the 1961 flick “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Hepburn was nominated for Best Actress but didn’t win. “Breakfast” won Best Song for “Moon River” of course. You know, they don’t make movie songs like “Moon River” anymore ….. waiting around the bend, my huckleberry …… awwww!
