Carol Alvarado, Houston City Council Member, District I, announced to her campaign finance committee this morning that she is running for reelection to her council post. Alvarado (a client of Campos Communications) will be seeking her third term on council. Her announcement puts to end rumors that had Alvarado running for an at-large council position. Last night, Alvarado was honored by Houston's League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 402. A who's who of Houston's Latino and non-Latino leadership turned out to show their support for Alvarado and LULAC. The proceeds raised from last night's reception will go toward college scholarships.
