Delirious Dude

Somebody has to tell Guv Dude that he is way out of touch with the rest of us folks in the Lone Star State. How in the heck did he allow his folks to say that his crib makeover would cost $27 mil? How many cribs in the whole Lone Star State cost $27 mil? Who does Dude think he is – a CEO of a bailed out bank? Even in the best of times folks wouldn’t approve of forking over that kind of dough for a pad, errr castle. About the only way that is going to happen is if The Dean puts forward a bill that would allow for naming rights like The McMansion or The Exxon/Mobile Home.

No you didn’t screw up Mr. President. Your staff screwed up. Move over Bill Richardson. Move over Nancy Killefer - The President’s not to be chief performance officer. Make room for Tom Daschle who forgot how the other half, errr 95% live. How did he end up with a car and driver while the rest of us only got an eight hour window yesterday at your local Denny’s for the free Grand Slam breakfast? I really didn’t like the idea that they were making this fella look like some sort of superhero who was the only one capable of fixing our health care system. Who ever thought up the idea to appoint this fella, errr stinker ought to be fired! Commentary doesn’t consider this change in America.

Former H-Town City Attorney Ben Hall is the subject of the Chron’s Columnist today. Check it out. Commentary knows a little about local politics but I can’t figure out what Ben is up to other than he is making it interesting and entertaining. He’s got swagger for sure. He’s got charisma and he’s got some folks understandably nervous – I love it.
