Real Kinky, Freewheeling, Cards, Hints, SEIU

An active Dem sent me a note about the Kinky and Barbie photo shoot I mentioned earlier. Dem said he had an Ann Coulter action figure he would send over that I could add to the shoot. Heck, why not go out and get me a Ken doll, and throw in the G.I. Joe, Princess Leia, and Yoda action figures I already have. We'll call it the Kinky Kaukus.

Props again to the photographer Commentary uses. Turns out her Christmas Card was inspired by Bob Dylan's Freewheeling album cover. Very cute - great idea.

Speaking of cards, last year, the Mayor Pro Tem's card got some good reviews. She has a good card designer. Come to think of it, Commentary's card also got some good reviews. I'll see if the Mayor Pro Tem will let me put her card online sometime next week.

Go online and read the Austin American Statesman article about the Milby High grad running for Guv. The article kind of hints - if you read between the lines - of maybe another filing surprise.

In today's Chron, there is an article about the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) spending a ton of money in a city council race. Don't be surprised if the city enacts some sort of ordinance that maybe limits campaign spending by groups in future mayoral or council races. Think about it, if a group wanted the city to do something, and if it was something they wanted real bad - why not spend a ton of money and impact eight council races?
