James’ Big Endorsement and Spineless Whiners

James Rodriguez, candidate for Houston City Council, District I, was endorsed last night by the HGLBTPC, the South's Oldest Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Civil Rights Organization. The score was 40 to 1 – this margin of victory is pretty impressive if I don’t mind saying. This is definitely a key endorsement in District I. Tonight, quite a few of James’ donors will gather at The Yard for an event hosted by Drayton McLane, Jr. Folks there get to talk baseball with Drayton and Pam-In-Charge. New ‘Stros front office employee Sweet Marisa may also drop by.

Commentary got called out in a piece in Capital Inside a few days ago, an Austin based web article by paid subscription only. They called me a “lightning rod,” but you can call me “Rod.” The article was kind of about One Of My Best Friends and her political future. They didn't talk to us. Heck, there was stuff in the article that was news to both of us. It looks like another nameless spineless wonderthud that doesn’t like us did some talking to the writer. Hey, if you have something to say, leave your business card. It ought to tell you about how spineless they are when they don’t have the guts and courage to put their name behind their words – what else is new.

In the last two games, the ‘Stros have given up a total of 18 runs in the first inning. There are only 28 opportunities left to see Craig Biggio at The Yard – get your tickets now!
