Obama’s Preacher didn’t do him any favors by doing the PBS interview that will air today. I don’t know why he didn’t just stay out of sight – at least until mid November. All the Preacher is doing is giving some undecided Super Duper Dem Delegates a reason not to support Obama. It sounds like his ego prevailed over reason. You would think that a high ranking Obama campaign type would have asked the Preacher a while back to lay low for a while. You have to figure that the Hillary folks are glad he came out of retirement.
Speaking of, the New York Times has a page of the Super Duper Dem Delegates and who they support. There is a column for those that haven’t decided. The undecided are a pretty impressive bunch that doesn’t look like they can be intimidated. Check it out.
One of the dumbest questions being asked in recent exit polls and other voter surveys is whether or not Dem supporters of Hillary/Obama would support the other candidate if their candidate doesn’t make it. The talking heads and political punditry are making too much of this. Record turnouts across the country in Dem primaries and caucuses across the U.S. of A. mean the voters are excited and passionate about their candidate. If you ask voters – particularly right after they have voted for Hillary/Obama – oh, by the way if Hillary/Obama doesn’t make, will you support Obama/Hillary – of course you are going to get a lot of folks say they won’t vote or support McCain. Ask the question a couple of weeks after the Dem Prez sweepstakes are over – like in mid September.
All I’m going to say is that we’ve won five in a row – period!
