Earthly Thoughts

Thirty-eight years ago we celebrated our first Earth Day at around two bits for a gallon of gasoline.

Here in H-Town, we heap a lot of praise on our leaders for having the vision to build stuff like the Port, the Texas Medical Center, and our airports. They blew it on our local transportation system though and we are paying the price today. Out leadership thought our freeway system was our salvation and decided not to pursue a rail system for moving folks around. No wonder we have the dirtiest air in the whole U.S. of A.

Documentary film guru Michael Moore doesn’t read Commentary. CEWDEM sent out Moore’s endorsement of Obama and nobody cares.

Nobody is predicting a victory for the Dem presumptive nominee and frontrunner in the PA primary today – huh! It will be interesting to see what the political punditry has to say after the results come in.

About a block from The Yard yesterday a bird swooped down and tried to snatch Commentary’s lid.

Speaking of, it’s “Play Green Day” at The Yard this evening. Green lids and free grocery canvass tote bags for the fans that show up early. Let’s play green! Have a nice Earth Day!
