The lead story on the front page of todayís Chron is about legislation allowing the carrying of concealed weapons on the campuses of our public universities in the Lone Star State. Somehow I donít think the mixing of tuition deregulation and concealed weapons on campus is a good idea. I donít think the pro concealed weapons folks are taking into consideration the parking situation at UHís Central Campus. Going into the Easter Weekend, Commentary is thankful that the legislature only meets once every two years. Our universities are supposed to be institutions of higher learning not higher nooning. I think Iíll take the 3:10 to poly sci 101 Ė yikes!
Aycock, Bohac, Cornyn, Eissler, Isett, Kleinschmidt, Kolkhorst, Kuempel, Neugebauer, and Zerwas Ė all GOP lawmakers from the Lone Star State Ė ďdo you think that it would behoove you and your citizens to adopt a name that we could deal with more readily here?"
Commentary is looking forward to iced tea and flour tortillas this Easter Sunday. Iíll also keep an eye on the Tiger. Iíll also watch Mike Hampton tonight in his return engagement with the ĎStros who will also be on the National TV tomorrow afternoon versus Tony LaRussa, Albert Pujols and the Cardinals.
Have a Happy Easter!
